GREENWOOD FIRST BAPTIST BELIEVES IN MISSIONS!

Greenwood First Baptist is a missional congregation!  In addition to supporting global and local missions through the annual ministry plan, GFBC supports missions through the national Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the South Carolina Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.  Please click the link below to find out more about mission opportunites through these two orgainzations.

Although not a disaster relief organization, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship responds when major disasters strike through its own resources or partner organizations. The Fellowship's model for response ministry is to be a long-term presence, helping communities recover and rebuild.

When gift-in-kind donations are helpful in disaster relief, the Fellowship serves as a clearinghouse, matching a donor with a need in the disaster zone. Frequently, the Fellowship establishes a designated fund, where individuals and churches can financially contribute to relief for a specific disaster. When volunteers are needed, the Fellowship invites individuals and groups to apply for service opportunities in the disaster zone. 

Greenwood First Baptist Church believes in missions outside of the Greenwood community.  The church participates in mission projects throughout the state.  GFBC supports global missions financially, through the annual ministry plan and through the CBF Global Missions Offering.  The following is a list of the ministries and agencies with which GFBC has partnered.  Please contact the agencies to learn more about their ministry.
