Childcare (Extended Session) is provided for newborns through age 4. A time for children is a part of our worship services on most Sundays, after which K5 and younger are invited to leave for Children’s Church in room 117. Our 3rd-6th graders may participate in worship as acolytes*.
*Acolytes are “helpers,” who assist in the worship service each Sunday by lighting the altar candles. Lighting the candles represents God’s presence among us. This is a very meaningful part of the worship service. Any 3rd-6th grader can be an acolyte after attending a training session. For additional information, please contact Claudia Burch.
Children’s Theme Night
Children enjoy a time of games, story lessons, snack supper, fun, and fellowship that are all based around the theme for the night. Theme nights are scheduled monthly throughout the year.
Vacation Bible School
Ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to GFBC's annual VBS, June 16-20, 2014, from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. Come caravan with Moses and the Israelites as they escape Egypt and travel through the Wilderness. See how Moses trusted God through all the hardships and discover how we can trust God in our everyday lives too! Click HERE to register for Vacation Bible School.
Holidays and Special Events
Fellowship, fun, and friendships are developed during our special events including our annual Easter egg hunt, Fall Festival, and Christmas family ornament party. Skating, bowling, and other fun activities encourage growth as a church family.
Children’s Movie Night
Movie nights are scheduled monthly throughout the year. Children enjoy a snack supper, fun, and a "kid-friendly" movie.
